Fire Mario and Baby Balloon Yoshi near the second star coin
Mushroom Heights is the fifth level of Acorn Plains of New Super Mario Bros. U. It is unlocked after Yoshi Hill is completed. Completing it unlocks Lemmy's Swingback Castle, skipping Rise of the Piranha Plants and the Enemy Course. A Baby Balloon Yoshi is recommended for this level.
Level[]
At first, Mario is on a platform next to the moving mushroom platforms and some pipes. Then, there is another moving platform and coins will appear if Mario goes on it. Continuing will have some platforms with Goombrats. Then, there are moving platforms with piranha plants. Then, there is the checkpoint. After that is a moving platform and a star coin under another mushroom platform. Then, there there are more mushroom platforms and piranha plants. Continuing, Mario will see another star coin. Then, there are a few more mushroom platforms and piranha plants and then the flag pole is seen.
Star Coins[]
- Star Coin 1: Accessed by Baby Balloon Yoshi or as Acorn Mario, Mario must fly up to the mushroom platform in the beginning to obtain the coin. Another way is in multiplayer, the Block Maker must make blocks for players to go up the blocks onto the platform.
- Star Coin 2: After the Checkpoint, the star coin can be seen under a mushroom platform. A Baby Balloon Yoshi or Acorn Mario is needed to get the coin. Another way is using the Block Maker to make blocks.
- Star Coin 3: Before the flag pole, a star coin is seen under a mushroom platforms guarded by two super piranha plants. Mario must use a koopa shell to kill one of them to get the coin.
