Mario Circuit is a very common course in the Mario Kart series. Most Mario Circuit versions appear in the Flower Cups (with the exception of Mario Kart DS in the Star Cup) of the Mario Kart game. All of the Mario Circuit versions look completely different, some of them return to future Mario Kart games as a retro course. In Mario Kart 64, Mario Circuit was named Mario Raceway.

Mario Circuit has also been used in other games out of the Mario Kart series. In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Mario Circuit is a Figure-8 Circuit based on the Mario Circuit from Mario Kart Wii. It has driving Shy Guys in the battlefield. In the Wii Version of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games, the Mario Circuit stage from Mario Kart Wii is used for the event, Dream Ski Cross. It is the exact replica from Mario Kart Wii except it is covered in snow and has a few background differences. In Itadaki Street DS, there is a board called Mario Circuit based on the Circuit from Mario Kart DS. In Fortune Street, a stage called Mario Circuit based on the stage in Mario Kart Wii appears.

This course is named after the Italian heroic plumber from Brooklyn, Mario.
